LON interface – FTT / PLT

Intelligent LonWorks® integration for the Smart Manager

The LON modules extend the Smart Manager with an interface to LonWorks® networks and are available in two versions: Free Topology TP/FT-10 (095410) and Powerline PLT (095411). The STV mounting rail bus allows the LON modules to be directly connected to the Smart Manager. This connection ensures a compact design, reduces wiring effort and enables fast installation.

Communication with the Smart Manager takes place internally via the STV mounting rail bus. The modules can be optimally adapted to the respective application via a selectable serial terminal. Two extensions – e.g. LON-FTT and LON-PLT – can be flexibly combined to optimally supplement the system architecture. Service activation is contactless and magnetic via the upper part of the housing. The service LED can be deactivated by software command if required, for example for inconspicuous installation in visible areas.

Configuration and data evaluation is carried out via the Smart Manager API and integration is carried out via standardised LonMark® objects.
