One of the reasons for this is the simple and reverse polarity protection installation. In addition, the devices and the entire technology are inexpensive and enable numerous metering applications, for example in building automation, mechanical engineering or in industry. If a connection via the simple two-wire lines is no longer possible, the wireless version of the M-Bus can be used. The new wMGW-PoE is suitable for this, which as a gateway uses wireless communication in accordance with DIN EN 13757-4 with a carrier frequency of 868 MHz (wM-Bus Mode S, R, T, C). AES encryption is supported. The supply voltage can be easily supplied with Power over Ethernet, which enables installation with a standard Ethernet cable via an RJ45 connector. The gateway has a wired M-Bus manager interface that can read data from the meters connected there with transmission rates from 300 to 38,400 baud. The wired communication takes place in accordance with DIN EN 13757-3.
